  3. Applicants should be high school seniors in good academic standing, having evidenced good moral character and conformity to accepted dress, appearance and social conduct.

  4. Community and extracurricular activities will be considered, but will not be major factors, as it is understood that many applicants for this scholarship may have found it necessary to work part of their high school career.

Memorial Health Systems Scholarship

  1. Awarded to a Chapman, Abilene, or Solomon High School senior who has contributed volunteer hours within the community and is seeking a medical related degree.

  2. The student shall have at least a 3.0 grade point average and shall be planning to attend an accredited college or vocational school.

  3. In addition, the student’s activities, honors and recommendations will be considered.

  1. Must be a Kansas resident

  2. Must enroll in a qualified program

  3. Must enroll at a Kansas college or university

  4. Must not have already been awarded an undergraduate degree

  5. Assists financially needy, academically competitive students who are identified as members of any of the following ethnic/racial groups:  African American, American Indian, or Alaskan Native, Asian or Pacific Islander, or Hispanic.

  6. Academic criteria -- must meet one of the following:

  7. ACT score of 21 or SAT of 990; or

  8. cumulative high school gpa of 3.00; or

  9. high school rank in upper 33%; or

  10. completion of Kansas Scholar’s Curriculum; or

  11. Selection by National Merit Corporation in any category; or

  12. Selection by College Board as Hispanic Scholar

Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship

  1. Must be a Kansas resident

  2. Must enroll in a qualified program

  3. Must enroll at a Kansas college or university

  4. Must not have already been awarded an undergraduate degree

  5. Must be accepted to a Kansas nursing program

  6. Must have a commitment by an eligible sponsor licensed by the state to fund up to half of the scholarship and provide full-time employment to the recipient after licensure

  7. Must enroll in 12 credit hours or more

Kansas State Scholarship

  1. Must be a Kansas resident

  2. Must enroll in a qualified program

  3. Must enroll at a Kansas college or university

  4. Must not have already been awarded an undergraduate degree

  5. Must have received a certificate stating you completed the required curriculum and received a letter stating that you were designated by the Kansas Board of Regents

  1. Must be a Kansas resident

  2. Must enroll in a qualified program leading to licensure as a teacher in one of the hard-to-fill disciplines or one of the underserved geographic areas of Kansas OR currently licensed as a teacher

  4. Must not have already been awarded an undergraduate degree

Tindall Orthodontic Scholarship

  1. A graduating high school senior who will pursue a post-secondary degree in a health science field.

Diabetes Scholars Foundation Scholarship

  1. Available to incoming freshmen seeking a higher education at an accredited four year university, college, technical or trade school.

  2. Recognizes students who are actively involved in the diabetes community, who have high academic performance, who participate in community and/or extra-curricular activities and who have demonstrated that they are successfully managing the challenges of living with diabetes.

  3. Diabetes Scholars Foundation scholarships are not based on financial need.

    A student enrolled in an accredited college or university and in good academic standing who has declared a major in early childhood education.

    An individual currently employed in child care service who plans to attend college to earn a degree in early childhood education.

    A graduating senior in good academic standing who plans on attending college to major in early childhood development.

    Applicants not falling into the above categories who are planning careers in wildlife education or management may also be considered for this scholarship.
